Actually Autistic Adult

Autistic Revolution magazine

Autistic Revolution is a digital magazine for and by autistic people. It coves a wide range of very relevant topics that I see discussed a lot in Facebook groups for neurodivergent people, but which you won’t find covered extensively anywhere else. So, if you’re not on Facebook or in other online neurodivergent spaces you may feel quite alone in your experiences of things like food, relationships, sexuality, passions and wellbeing.

They recently published the third issue which is available on Flipsnack which features an article by me about my special interests.

I’ve mentioned these before in various blogs but this piece puts them all together in one (slightly more coherent than previous mentions) place. My special interests are often fleeting, sometimes recurrent, but almost always along a common thread of traditional crafts, self-sufficiency, life skills and a more grounded, slower pace of life.

If you haven’t read Autistic Revolution yet there are three issues out for you to read, and if you want to write a piece, set up an interview, submit artwork or otherwise get involved don’t be afraid to get in touch with them. They’re a lovely group of lovely people who are actively open to content and viewpoints from the community.
